How to heal a cut on the back of the ankle?
My boyfriend cut the back of his ankle (right below the Achilles tendon) ago about 10 days. We went to the emergency room and was given three stitches and sent him on his way. They told him to return in 10 days to get stitches out and he's been in a lot of pain since this court was held. His ankle is very swollen! When she took the points she made sure he could bending the foot and toes and that can, but he is still in pain. They said there may be an infection, which gave him Bactrim and told him to keep the foot high and to keep an antibiotic ointment on it and keep it covered. Does anyone have any solution on how to heal the wound? Just do not want that it becomes worse!
All you have to do is what the emergency doctor said. Take antibiotics, keep the wound covered and foot elevated. Time will do the rest.
